Had a great day on the water catching lots of Specks. The bait of choice is live Croakers. The best way to catch Specks using Croaker is to just drag your bait on the bottom as the wind moves your boat. Us a number 4 kahle hook with a small slip weight on a 20 inch leader. When you feel a bite , wait a few seconds before setting the hook. You need to keep the bait a good distance from the boat, because the boat will make some nosie. This way the fish will hit or eat the bait without hearing the boat nosie. Key on slicks and make sure your bait is on shell. This time of the year Specks are spwaning on shell. The best time to fish is early in the morning with a moving tide. See you on the water and always be safe on the water. To book a trip give me a call at 281-507-1933 Thanks
